श्री केदारनाथ धाम में दर्शन करने आ रहे तीर्थ यात्रियों को साफ-स्वच्छ वातावरण उपलब्ध हो इसके लिए जिलाधिकारी मयूर दीक्षित के निर्देशन में केदारनाथ यात्रा मार्ग में स्वच्छता जागरूकता रैली का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। जिसमें युवा कल्याण विभाग, वन विभाग एवं सुलभ इंटरनेशनल संस्था द्वारा गौरीकुंड गौरी माई के मंदिर से स्वच्छता जागरूकता रैली का आयोजन किया गया।
जिला युवा कल्याण अधिकारी शरद सिंह भंडारी ने अवगत कराया है कि केदारनाथ यात्रा को स्वच्छ और सुगम बनाने की मुहिम के अंतर्गत अंतर्गत आज गौरीकुंड में महिला मंगल दल, व्यापार मंडल के सदस्यों के सहयोग से गौरीकुंड में गौरी माई मंदिर परिसर से स्वच्छता जागरूकता रैली का आयोजन किया गया। इस अवसर पर यात्रा मार्ग पर गिरे पड़े कूड़े कचरे को एकत्रित किया गया। उन्होंने कहा कि इस अभियान में युवा कल्याण, वन विभाग के कार्मिक, सुलभ इंटरनेशनल, तथा महिला मंगल दल की सदस्यों द्वारा भाग लिया गया।
उक्त यात्रा मार्ग पर न केवल जागरूकता रैली निकाली गई अपितु स्वच्छता कर्यक्रम भी चलाया गया जिसमें पूरे मार्ग से लगभग 04 बोरी लगभग डेढ़ क्विंटल कूड़ा एकत्रित किया गया। रैली कर्यक्रम के दौरान बच्चों द्वारा यात्रियों से यात्रा में पॉलिथिन का प्रयोग न करने तथा कूड़ा कूड़ेदानों में ही डालने की अपील भी की गई।
इस अवसर पर ग्राम प्रधान सोनी देवी, अध्यक्ष व्यापार मंडल रामचंद्र गोस्वामी, महिला मंगल दल की अध्यक्ष रूचि देवी, क्षेत्रीय युवा कल्याण अधिकारी मनोज बजरियाल सहित सुलभ इंटरनेशनल, वन विभाग, युवा कल्याण विभाग के कार्मिक, स्थानीय नागरिक, होटल व्यवसायी आदि मौजूद रहे।
