देहरादून – भारतीय दलित साहित्य अकादमी के तत्वाधान में भारत रत्न बाबा साहेब डॉ. भीमराव अम्बेडकर की जयंती मसूरी में अम्बेडकर चौक पर घूमघाम के साथ मनाई गई। सैकड़ों की तादाद में एकत्रित लोगों ने चौक पर लगी अम्बेडकर जी की मूर्ति पर माल्यार्पण कर श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित कर बाबा साहेब अमर रहे के नारे लगाये। जयंती के शुभ अवसर पर अकादमी द्वारा शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य, समाज, संस्कृति में उत्कृष्ट कार्य कराये करने वाले लोगों को डा0 भीमराव अम्बेडकर फेलोशिप अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया गया वही करीब 8 स्कूलों के दो छात्र-छात्राओं को पढाई के क्षेत्र में बेहतर प्रदर्शन करने के लिये स्व0 राधेश्याम सोनकर स्मृति अवार्ड और स्कॉलशिप देकर सम्मानित किया गया।
इस मौके पर आयोजित कार्यक्रम का शुभारम्भ कैबिनेट मंत्री गणेश जोशी, पूर्व विधायक जोत सिंह गुनसोला, पालिकाध्यक्ष मनमोहन मोहन सिंह मल्ल, पूर्व पालिकाध्यक्ष ओपी उनियाल व अकादमी के अध्यक्ष सुनील सोनकर सहित अन्य अतिथियों के द्वारा बाबा साहेब की प्रतिमा में माल्यार्पण करके किया गया।
मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने कहा कि डॉ भीमराव आंबेडकर भारतीय विधिवेत्ता, अर्थशास्त्री, राजनीतिज्ञ और समाज सुधारक थे। उन्होंने कहा कि बाबा भीमराव अंबेडकर के विचार और सिद्धांतों को धरातल पर उतारने की आवश्यकता है। बाबा भीमराव अंबेडकर ने आजीवन लोगों के हितों के लिए कार्य करते रहे। उन्होंने बाबा साहेब को इस देश के लिए एक वरदान बताया और उनके महत्व व कार्यों को रेखांकित किया। उन्होंने कहा कि ‘मैं’ से ऊपर उठकर ‘हम’ का भाव होना चाहिए। समाज के प्रति भी कर्तव्य का निर्वहन आवश्यक है। उन्होंने कहा कि बाबा भीमराव अंबेडकर के सपनों को पीएम मोदी पूरा कर रहे हैं।
इस अवसर पर राजकीय इंटर कॉलेज भवान, टिहरी गढ़वाल प्रधानाचार्य अनिल सिंह रांगड़, मसूरी कोविड इंचार्ज डॉ प्रदीप राणा, उप जिला चिकित्सालय गायनोलॉजिस्ट, डॉ0 शैली सिंह, मसूरी नगर पालिका स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी, आभास सिंह, उप जिला चिकित्यालय वरिष्ठ नर्स, एलविना फ्रांसिस, उप जिला चिकित्सालय पर्यावरण, सरिता देवी, अनिल कुमार, गढवाली व्यजन एंव संस्कृति के लिये पंकज अग्रवाल, लंढौर बाजार के विकास के लिये अनिल गोयल, उत्कष्ट पुलिस कार्य हेतु कांस्टेबल प्रदीप गिरि, समाजिक कार्य सुदैशा सैनी आदि को सम्मानित किया गया।
