मुख्य सचिव डॉ. एस.एस. संधु ने मंगलवार को सचिवालय में अधिकारियों के साथ कैच दि रेन योजना के सम्बन्ध में बैठक ली। मुख्य सचिव ने अधिकारियों को मानसून सीजन के अगले तीन माह के लिए सम्बन्धित विभागों को टारगेट निर्धारित किए जाने के निर्देश दिए।

मुख्य सचिव ने कहा कि अगले सीजन के लिए भी कार्ययोजना इसी वर्ष तैयार कर ली जाए। उन्होंने कहा कि वन विभाग, सिंचाई विभाग, जलागम आदि सम्बन्धित विभाग चालखाल एवं रेन वाटर हार्वेस्टिंग आदि के सम्बन्ध में कार्ययोजना तैयार कर लें। उन्होंने कहा कि जलश्रोतों को सूखने से बचाने हेतु वृहद स्तर पर कार्य किए जाने की आवश्यकता है। मुख्य सचिव ने कहा कि शीघ्र ही सभी जिलाधिकारी अपने स्तर पर लक्ष्य निर्धारित करने हेतु बैठकें आयोजित कर लें।
