गांधी जयंती और पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री स्वर्गीय लाल बहादुर शास्त्री जी की जयंती के पावन अवसर पर उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने मुख्यमंत्री आवास में दोनों महान विभूतियों को श्रद्धा सुमन अर्पित करते हुए उन्हें भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि दी। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री ने राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी और शास्त्री जी के सिद्धांतों एवं योगदान को याद करते हुए उन्हें युगों-युगों तक प्रेरणास्रोत बताया।

मुख्यमंत्री श्री धामी ने राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी को नमन करते हुए कहा कि –

“गांधी जी का संपूर्ण जीवन सत्य, अहिंसा, त्याग और मानवता की सेवा को समर्पित रहा। उन्होंने न केवल भारत को स्वतंत्रता दिलाई, बल्कि पूरी दुनिया को यह संदेश दिया कि बिना हिंसा के भी क्रांति लाई जा सकती है। आज जब समाज अनेक चुनौतियों से गुजर रहा है, तब गांधी जी के सिद्धांत – विशेषकर ‘सत्य’ और ‘अहिंसा’ – पहले से कहीं अधिक प्रासंगिक हो गए हैं। हमें अपने जीवन में इन मूल्यों को आत्मसात करना होगा।”

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राष्ट्रपिता के दिखाए मार्ग पर चलकर ही हम एक शांतिपूर्ण, समरस और करुणामय समाज की स्थापना कर सकते हैं। अहिंसा और मानवता का भाव जागृत कर हम गांधी जी को सच्ची श्रद्धांजलि दे सकते हैं।

इसके साथ ही मुख्यमंत्री ने भारत के दूसरे प्रधानमंत्री स्वर्गीय लाल बहादुर शास्त्री जी को उनकी जयंती पर श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करते हुए कहा कि –

“शास्त्री जी का जीवन सादगी, सत्यनिष्ठा और राष्ट्रभक्ति की अनुपम मिसाल रहा है। उनका दिया हुआ नारा ‘जय जवान, जय किसान’ आज भी हर भारतीय के मन में गर्व और प्रेरणा का संचार करता है।”

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि शास्त्री जी ने ऐसे समय में देश की बागडोर संभाली जब भारत अनेक आंतरिक और बाहरी चुनौतियों का सामना कर रहा था, लेकिन अपने दृढ़ संकल्प, नेतृत्व क्षमता और नैतिक मूल्यों से उन्होंने देश को एकजुट रखा।

इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री आवास में एक सादे, गरिमामय समारोह का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें वरिष्ठ अधिकारी, जनप्रतिनिधि एवं विभिन्न क्षेत्रों के गणमान्य लोग उपस्थित रहे। कार्यक्रम के दौरान गांधी जी के प्रिय भजन ‘वैष्णव जन तो’ और ‘रघुपति राघव राजा राम’ का भी गायन किया गया।

मुख्यमंत्री ने लोगों से अपील की कि वे इन महान नेताओं के जीवन से प्रेरणा लेकर राष्ट्र निर्माण में सक्रिय भूमिका निभाएं और उनके बताए मार्गों पर चलकर एक सशक्त, समरस व समृद्ध भारत के निर्माण में अपना योगदान दें।
