देहरादून : डोईवाला ब्लॉक में धान की फसल में सदर्न राइस ब्लैक स्ट्रीक्ड ड्वार्फ वायरस के कारण धान की फसल को हो रहे नुकसान के विषय में जानकारी प्राप्त होने पर आज कृषि मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने चिद्देरवाला पहुँच कर प्रभवित फसल का निरिक्षण किया और प्रभावित किसानों को हरसंभव सहायता देने का आश्वासन दिया।
इस वायरस से ग्रसित फसल में धान के पौधे 40 फीसदी तक छोटे हो जाते हैं और पैदावार नहीं देते। यह वायरस सिर्फ धान की हाइब्रिड प्रजातियों में पाई जा रही है। मंत्री जोशी ने अधिकारीयों को निर्देश दिए की प्रभावित किसानों को अगली फसल लगाने के विषय में जानकारी तथा विभाग की ओर से किट वितरित किये जाएं। साथ ही मंत्री जोशी ने अधिकारीयों को सरकार द्वारा कृषक कल्याण के लिए चलायी जा रही हर योजना का लाभ सभी किसानों तक पहुँचाने की बात कही। कृषि मंत्री जोशी ने सभी किसानो से अपील करते हुए कहा कि आप सभी प्रधानमंत्री फसल बिमा योजना में पंजीकरण कर इस योजना का लाभ उठाएं और अपनी फसल और अपनी सुरक्षा करें।

इस अवसर पर मुख्य कृषि अधिकारी,लतिका सिंह, ब्लॉक प्रमुख, भगवान सिंह,कृषि एवं भूमि संरक्षण अधिकारी राज देव पंवार उपस्थित रहे।
