देहरादून : गुरुवार को मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने रेंजर्स कॉलेज ग्राउंड, देहरादून में नगर निगम देहरादून द्वारा आयोजित वृक्षारोपण कार्यक्रम में प्रतिभाग किया। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने पौध रोपण भी किया। देहरादून स्मार्ट सिटी लिमिटेड द्वारा आईएसबीटी से जौलीग्रांट एयरपोर्ट एवं सहस्त्रधारा रोड के लिए संचालित 5 नई इलेक्ट्रिक बसों का फ्लैग ऑफ भी मुख्यमंत्री द्वारा किया गया।
मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि 16 जुलाई को हरेला पर्व से 15 अगस्त 2022 तक प्रदेश में व्यापक स्तर पर वृक्षारोपण कार्यक्रम किये जा रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि इस वृक्षारोपण कार्यक्रम में युवा जिस ऊर्जा एवं उत्साह से भाग ले रहे हैं, देहरादून को क्लीन सिटी एवं ग्रीन सिटी बनाने में इसी प्रकार की ऊर्जा एवं उत्साह काम आएगा। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि हमारे पूर्वजों ने विरासत में हमें शुद्ध पर्यावरण दिया है, इसी तरह आने वाली पीढ़ियों को भी शुद्ध वातावरण मिले। इसके लिए पर्यावरण संरक्षण हम सबकी सामुहिक जिम्मेदारी है। राज्य सरकार द्वारा इकोलॉजी और इकोनॉमी को संतुलित करने की दिशा में लगातार प्रयास किये जा रहे हैं। विकास के साथ प्राकृतिक संतुलन बना रहे, इसके लिए पर्यावरण एवं जल संरक्षण की दिशा में लगातार प्रयासों की जरूरत है।
मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि पिछले साल हरेला पर्व के अवसर पर उन्होंन मिलने वाले आगन्तुकों से अनुरोध किया था कि जो भी मिलने आ रहे हैं, फूल के बजाए उन्हें पौध भेंट करें। मुख्यमंत्री ने स्मार्ट सिटी के अंतर्गत संचालित 5 नई इलेक्ट्रिक बसों को इकोनामी और इकोलॉजी में संतुलन का उदाहरण बताया। उन्होंने कहा इन बसों के संचालन से लोगों को आवागमन की बेहतर सुविधा होगी एवं क्लीन सिटी ग्रीन सिटी के संकल्प को आगे बढ़ाएगा।
कैबिनेट मंत्री प्रेमचंद अग्रवाल ने कहा कि पौधारोपण के साथ ही प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को उसके रखरखाव एवं संरक्षण की जिम्मेदारी लेनी होगी। उन्होंने कहा कि सभी को जन्मदिन, शादी एवं विशेष अवसरों पर पौधरोपण जरूर करना चाहिए। हमारा प्रदेश हरियाली का प्रतीक है एवं प्राकृतिक संसाधनों से भरपूर है। उन्होंने आजादी के अमृत महोत्सव के अंतर्गत आगामी 13 से 15 अगस्त को प्रत्येक घर में तिरंगा फहराने का भी आग्रह किया।
मेयर सुनील उनियाल गामा कहा कि हरेला पर्व के तहत चल रहे वृक्षारोपण कार्यक्रम में नगर निगम द्वारा 100 वार्डों में वृक्षारोपण किया जायेगा एवं उनकी देखभाल भी की जायेगी। स्वच्छ एवं सुंदर दून के संकल्प के साथ देहरादून को प्लास्टिक मुक्त भी बनाया जा रहा है।
इस अवसर पर विधायक खजान दास, सविता कपूर, महानगर अध्यक्ष भाजपा सीताराम भट्ट, गढ़वाल कमिश्नर सुशील कुमार, जिलाधिकारी सोनिका, वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक दिलीप सिंह कुंवर, नगर आयुक्त देहरादून मनुज गोयल एवं अन्य गणमान्य उपस्थित रहे।
