उत्तराखण्ड अंतरिक्ष उपयोग केंद्र (USAC) के सभागार में भारत-तिब्बत सीमा पुलिस बल (ITBP) के असिस्टेंट कमांडेंट रैंक के अधिकारियों के लिए दो दिवसीय शैक्षणिक भ्रमण एवं प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य अधिकारियों को USAC की प्रमुख गतिविधियों तथा रक्षा एवं सुरक्षा क्षेत्र में ड्रोन तकनीक के आधुनिक अनुप्रयोगों से अवगत कराना रहा।
प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम के दौरान अधिकारियों को USAC द्वारा राज्य में संचालित अंतरिक्ष आधारित कार्यों, रिमोट सेंसिंग, जीआईएस, मैपिंग तथा आपदा प्रबंधन से जुड़ी महत्वपूर्ण परियोजनाओं की विस्तृत जानकारी दी गई। इसके पश्चात ड्रोन एप्लीकेशन एंड रिसर्च सेंटर (DARC) के माध्यम से ड्रोन तकनीक के रक्षा क्षेत्र में उपयोग पर व्याख्यान और व्यावहारिक प्रदर्शन प्रस्तुत किया गया।
कार्यक्रम के दौरान ड्रोन आधारित निगरानी, लाइव स्ट्रीमिंग, क्षेत्रीय मैपिंग, सुरक्षा एवं आपदा परिदृश्यों में ड्रोन के प्रभावी उपयोग, ड्रोन संचालन की मूलभूत तकनीक तथा सिमुलेटर आधारित अभ्यास की जानकारी दी गई। अधिकारियों ने इस प्रशिक्षण को सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों और सुरक्षा अभियानों को अधिक प्रभावी बनाने में अत्यंत उपयोगी बताया।
इस अवसर पर USAC के निदेशक प्रोफेसर दुर्गेश पंत ने कहा कि ड्रोन एवं अंतरिक्ष आधारित तकनीकें वर्तमान समय में सीमा निगरानी, सुरक्षा और आपदा प्रबंधन के लिए अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण हो चुकी हैं। ऐसे प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम सुरक्षा बलों की तकनीकी क्षमता बढ़ाने के साथ-साथ जमीनी स्तर पर त्वरित और सटीक निर्णय लेने में भी सहायक सिद्ध होते हैं।
दो दिवसीय इस प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम में ITBP के असिस्टेंट कमांडेंट रैंक के अधिकारियों ने सहभागिता की। इस अवसर पर ड्रोन एप्लीकेशन एंड रिसर्च सेंटर के प्रभारी डॉ. गजेंद्र सिंह एवं शशांक लिंगवाल, प्रशासनिक अधिकारी आर.एस. मेहता, जनसंपर्क अधिकारी सुधाकर भट्ट, प्रशिक्षण समन्वयक दीपक भंडारी, शुभम शर्मा, सौरभ चौबे सहित अन्य कर्मचारी उपस्थित रहे।
