भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (आईआईटी) रुड़की में आज अंतर्राष्ट्रीय जल विज्ञान संघ (IAHS) की बारहवीं वैज्ञानिक सभा का भव्य उद्घाटन हुआ। इस छह दिवसीय वैश्विक आयोजन में विश्वभर से प्रमुख वैज्ञानिक, शोधकर्ता और नीति निर्माता एकत्र हुए हैं, जो सतत जल संसाधन प्रबंधन, जलवायु परिवर्तन के प्रति सहनशीलता, और जल विज्ञान में नवाचार जैसे महत्वपूर्ण विषयों पर विचार-विमर्श करेंगे।

आईआईटी रुड़की के निदेशक प्रो. के.के. पंत ने सभा के महत्व पर प्रकाश डालते हुए कहा, “यह वैज्ञानिक सभा विचारों के आदान-प्रदान, दीर्घकालिक सहयोग और नवाचार को प्रेरित करेगी, जिससे जल विज्ञान और समाज दोनों को सार्थक लाभ मिलेगा।” उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि इस सप्ताह चलने वाली सभा के दौरान तकनीकी सत्र, प्रदर्शनी और अंतरराष्ट्रीय सहयोग कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाएंगे।
सभा के दौरान IAHSS-2025 की कार्यवाही का भी औपचारिक विमोचन किया गया। यह दस्तावेज आने वाले सप्ताह भर के वैज्ञानिक सत्रों, प्रस्तुतियों और विचार-विमर्श की दिशा और उद्देश्य को रेखांकित करता है।
