देहरादून : उत्तराखंड विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ऋतु खंडूडी भूषण ने कनाडा हैलिफ़ैक्स के प्रवासीय दौरे के दौरान राष्ट्रमंडल संसदीय संघ( सीपीए) की अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर की कार्यकारिणी समिति कि बैठक में भारत के प्रतिनिधि सदस्य के रूप में भाग लिया।
बता दें कि उत्तराखंड विधानसभा अध्यक्ष कनाडा हेलीफैक्स में आयोजित 65 वें राष्ट्रमंडल संसदीय संघ (सीपीए) सम्मेलन में भाग लेने के लिए कनाडा पहुंची हैं जहां सम्मेलन से पूर्व उन्होंने सीपीए की कार्यकारी समिति की बैठक में हिस्सा लिया। यह भी बता दें कि उत्तराखंड विधानसभा अध्यक्ष राष्ट्रमंडल संसदीय संघ में अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर की कार्यकारिणी समिति की भारत के प्रतिनिधि के रूप में नामित सदस्य भी हैं। इस बैठक में उनके साथ बतौर सदस्य आसाम के विधानसभा अध्यक्ष बिस्वजीत दैमरी एवं लोकसभा सांसद अनुराग शर्मा ने भी भाग लिया।
बैठक प्रारंभ होने से पहले सीपीए कार्यकारी समिति के कार्यवाहक अध्यक्ष, इयान लिडेल-ग्रेंजर सहित कार्यकारी समिति के सभी सदस्यों द्वारा प्रथम महिला विधानसभा अध्यक्ष एवं कार्यकारी समिति की सदस्य नामित होने पर ऋतु खंडूडी का स्वागत करते हुए उन्हें बधाई एवं शुभकामनाएं दी गई।
सीपीए की कार्यकारी समिति की बैठक में सीपीए के अध्यक्ष के नेतृत्व में इंडिया रीज़न के साथ-साथ अफ्रीका, एशिया, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, ब्रिटिश आइसलैंड कनाडा एवं कैरीबियन अमेरिका एंड अटलांटिक रीजन के लगभग 35 सदस्य ने प्रतिभाग किया। बैठक के दौरान कार्यकारी समिति की पिछली बैठक के कार्यवृत्त को अनुमोदित कर सहमति प्रदान की गई।साथ ही बैठक में लिए गए निर्णय पर कृत कार्रवाई का विवरण प्रस्तुत किया गया। इस दौरान सीपीए का वार्षिक प्रतिवेदन एवं कार्य की समीक्षा संबंधी रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत की गई एवं उस पर सहमति प्रदान की गई।साथ ही उप समितियों की रिपोर्ट काे भी समिति के समक्ष रखा गया। साथ ही राष्ट्रमंडल संसदीय संघ(सीपीए) की गतिविधियों और व्यवसाय के नियंत्रण और प्रबंधन पर चर्चा की गई। एवम कनाडा में 22 से 26 अगस्त तक चलने वाली 65वें राष्ट्रमंडल संसदीय संघ के सम्मेलन की गतिविधियों के संबंध में भी चर्चा की गई।
