प्रदेश के कृषि एवं कृषक कल्याण मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने बताया कि उत्तराखण्ड राज्य अपनी प्राकृतिक खूबसूरती की वजह से पर्यटक यहाँ घूमने आते है। जिसके दृष्टिगत विभाग में हार्टी टूरिज्म को विकसित किये जाने की आवश्यकता है। जिस ओर विभाग के विभिन्न उद्यानों को विकसित कर हार्टी टूरिज्म से जोड़ने के प्रयास किये जा रहे है। मंत्री ने बताया राज्य में आने वाले पर्यटक बागवानी के विभिन्न गतिविधियों व तकनीकों से भली-भाँति अवगत हो सके। इस क्रम में जनपद देहरादून में पुष्प प्रखण्ड व वानस्पतिक उद्यान स्थापित करने की सहमति मुख्य सचिव की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित राज्य स्तरीय स्वीकृति समिति की बैठक में रूपये 283.61 लाख की परियोजना को स्वीकृति प्राप्त की गयी है। इस परियोजना को देहरादून में सैन्यधाम के निकट राजकीय भूमि पर स्थापित किया जायेगा।
कृषि एवं कृषक कल्याण मंत्री द्वारा बताया गया कि इस परियोजना को पौधो की एक विस्तृत श्रृखंला का संग्रह, कृषिकरण बागवानी की नवीनतम तकनीकों, संग्रहालय, ओपन थियेटर, तरह-तरह की आकृतियों, पुस्तकालय, कैन्टिन, आकृषक झरने व पर्यटक स्थलों की जानकारी के साथ-साथ पौधों का संरक्षण व विभिन्न नवीनतम औद्योनिक तकनीको प्रदर्शन किये जायेंगे। यह उद्यान वनस्पति शास्त्रियों, नर्सरी मैन, बागवानों, लैंडस्कैपर्स के साथ-साथ विद्यार्थियों के लिए भी उपयोगी सिद्ध होगा। इस योजना के संचालन से राज्य में अन्य अविकसित उद्यानों को नयी दिशा मिलेगी तथा रोजगार के नये आयाम सृजित होगें। इस परियोजना में बंजर स्थान को विकसित कर नदी किनारे भूमि को पेड़-पौधों के माध्यम से लैण्ड स्केपिंग कर हार्टी टूरिज्म के तर्ज पर सैलानी के आवागमन के लिए सुलभ बनाया जायेगा तथा सैलानी आकर तरह-तरह के फल, सब्जी व फूलों का आनन्द प्राप्त कर सकेंगे।
कृषि मंत्री ने बताया योजना को विस्तार रूप देने के लिए एडीबी परियोजना से भी जोड़ा जायेगा। यह परियोजना विभाग के लिए पर्यटन के क्षेत्र में हार्टी टूरिज्म को बढ़ावा देने के लिए अत्यधिक उपयोगी सिद्ध होगी। उत्तराखण्ड में आये पर्यटकों को एक स्थान पर औद्यानिकी से सम्बन्धित विभिन्न गतिविधियां देखने को मिलेगी। कृषि मंत्री जी ने बताया कि उनके द्वारा उद्यान विभाग के अधिकारियों को निर्देशित किया गया है कि राष्ट्रीय कृषि विकास योजना के अंतर्गत स्वीकृत की गई कार्य योजना को धरातल पर उतारने के लिए समस्त कार्यवाही को समय से सम्पादित कर हार्टी ट्यूरिज्म से जोड़ने के लिए कार्यवाही की जाये ।
