प्रदेश के कृषि एवं कृषक कल्याण मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने आज देहरादून के एक निजी होटल में मिलेट मिशन कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत आगामी मई माह में आयोजित होने वाले मिलेट्स मेले को लेकर कृषि विभाग के अधिकारियों और होटल व्यवसायियों और एग्रीकल्चर यूनिवर्सिटी के कुपतियों के साथ एक दिवसीय कार्यशाला में प्रतिभाग किया। इस गोष्ठी में विभिन्न एग्री कल्चर विश्वविद्यालयों के कुलपति होटलियर व्यवसायी कृषि वैज्ञानिक उपस्थित रहे। कार्यशाला में सभी वक्ताओं ने मिलेट्स के फायदे और मिलेट्स के अधिक उत्पादन को लेकर अपने विचार रखे।
इस अवसर पर मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने कहा वर्ष 2023 को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मिलेट वर्ष घोषित किया गया है। मंत्री ने कहा मिलेट के प्रोत्साहन के लिए प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा राज्य में स्टेट मिलेट मिशन संचालन किया जा रहा है। मंत्री जोशी ने कहा मिलेट्स के प्रोत्साहन और मिलेट का अधिक से अधिक प्रचार प्रसार हो इस दिशा में प्रदेश सरकार निरंतर कार्य कर रही है। उन्होंने कहा इससे पूर्व में मिलेट्स के प्रचार प्रसार के लिए देहरादून और गैरसैंण में मिलेट भोज का आयोजन किया गया है। इसी प्रकार अब देहरादून और हल्द्वानी में होने जा रहे मिलेट्स मेले के 13 और 14 मई को देहरादून में मिलेट्स मेले का आयोजन किया जाएगा। इसी प्रकार 29 और 30 मई को हल्द्वानी में मिलेट्स मेले का आयोजन होगा। जिसमे देहरादून में केंद्रीय कृषि मंत्री नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर और हल्द्वानी में केंद्रीय कृषि राज्य मंत्री कैलाश चौधरी सहित विभिन्न राज्यों के कृषि मंत्री के साथ साथ कृषि वैज्ञानिक, एग्री कल्चर विश्वविद्यालयों, इंसिट्यूट, होटल व्यवसाई, उद्योगपति, किसान सहित कई लोग मेले में प्रतिभाग करेंगे। मिलेट्स मेले में अलग अलग राज्यों के मिलेट उत्पादक राज्य के स्टॉल लगाए जाएंगे। मिलेट्स मेले में सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों के साथ-साथ टेक्निकल सेशन भी आयोजित होंगे। मंत्री ने कहा मई माह में आयोजित होने वाले मिलेट मेले के दृष्टिगत आज इस कार्यशाला के माध्यम से जो सुझाव आए है उनको भी सम्मिलित किया जाएगा।
मंत्री जोशी ने कहा कि केन्द्रीय बजट में किसानों को ध्यान में रखते हुए कई महत्वपूर्ण प्रावधान हुए हैं। मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने कहा राज्य में अधिकांश किसान मोटा अनाज पैदा करते हैं। मोटे अनाज के प्रोत्साहन हेतु केन्द्रीय बजट में “श्री अन्न” का उल्लेख है। प्रदेश में हम इसे अपने अन्नदाता किसान भाई-बहनों के लिए सम्भावनाओं के नये द्वार के रूप में देख रहे है। निःसंदेह, इस कदम से प्रदेश की पारम्परिक उपज के बाजार को विस्तार मिलेगा और हमारे किसान समृद्ध हो सकेंगे। मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने कहा उत्तराखंड देश का पहला। राज्य है जहां मंडवे का एमएसपी तय किया गया है। उन्होंने कहा इस बार के वित्तीय वर्ष में स्टेट मिलेट मिशन मद में रू. पन्द्रह करोड़ (रू. 15.00 करोड़) का प्रावधान किया गया है। साथ ही स्थानीय फसलों को प्रोत्साहन कार्यक्रम के अन्तर्गत रू. बीस करोड़ (रू. 20.00 करोड़) का प्रावधान किया गया है। मंत्री जोशी ने भरोसा जताते हुए कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार का संकल्प है जब राज्य 25 वर्ष का होगा तो हम मिलेट के उत्पाद को दोगुना करेंगे इस दिशा में प्रदेश सरकार लगातार कार्य कर रही है।
इस अवसर पर सचिव कृषि बीवीआरसी पुरुषोत्तम, अपर सचिव रणवीर सिंह, निदेशक गौरीशंकर, अपर निदेशक केसी पाठक, संयुक्त निदेशक दिनेश कुमार सहित कई विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति, होटल व्यवसायी उपस्थित रहे।
