आज नई दिल्ली में केंद्रीय रक्षा मंत्री श्री राजनाथ सिंह की अध्यक्षता में “देश की उत्तरी सीमाओं अवस्थापना विकास” के संबंध में आयोजित समीक्षा बैठक मैं उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने प्रतिभाग किया।
बैठक में मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि पिथौरागढ़ हवाई अडडे को वायु सेना द्वारा विकसित किया जायेगा । पिथौरागढ़ हवाई अड्डे का संचालन के फलस्वरूप देश के विभिन्न राज्यों से पर्यटक आसानी से पिथौरागढ़ पहुच सकते है जिससे स्थानीय स्तर पर रोजगार के साधान सृजित होने के साथ ही एयर कनेक्टिविटी आसान होगी।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड के सीमांत जनपदों में अवस्थापना विकास यथा रोड़, रेल,दूरसंचार, वायुसेवा के कार्य तेजी किये जा रहे है। लंबित कार्यो को शीर्ष प्राथमिकता पर निस्तारित करने के लिए सीमांत जनपदों के जिलाधिकारियों को प्रतिमाह बैठक आयोजित कर न्यूनतम समय में कार्यो को निस्तारित किये जाने के लिए निर्देशित किया गया है। मुख्मंत्री ने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड सरकार सीमांत जनपदों में लंबित सभी कार्यो को प्राथमिकता पर सम्पादित कर रही है ।
सीमांत जनपदों में अवस्थापना विकास के कार्यों से प्रदेश में पर्यटन बढ़ने के साथ ही स्थानीय स्तर पर रोजगार के साधन भी सृजित होंगे।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड एक सैनिक बाहुल्य राज्य है। यहां लगभग प्रत्येक परिवार से एक व्यक्ति प्रत्यक्ष/ परोक्ष रूप से सेना से जुडें है। मैं स्वंय सैनिक परिवार से हॅू। सेना के प्रति लोगों के दिल में अथाह प्रेम है। सेना के कार्य उत्तराखण्ड राज्य में प्राथमिकता के आधार पर करवाये जायेगें।
बैठक में मुख्य सचिव डॉ एस एस संधू भी उपस्थित थे।
