स्वास्थ्य सचिव एवं आयुक्त खाद्य संरक्षा एवं औषधि प्रशासन डॉ. आर. राजेश कुमार ने कहा कि आमजन को शुद्ध व सुरक्षित खाद्य सामग्री उपलब्ध कराना सरकार की सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता है। उन्होंने सभी जिलों के अधिकारियों को सख़्त निर्देश दिए हैं कि खाद्य कारोबार में लापरवाही और मिलावट करने वालों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित की जाए।

कुमाऊँ मंडल में सघन कार्रवाई
कुमाऊँ मण्डल के नैनीताल, ऊधमसिंह नगर, अल्मोड़ा, बागेश्वर, पिथौरागढ़ और चम्पावत जिलों में विशेष चेकिंग अभियान चलाया गया। इस दौरान लगभग 200 खाद्य नमूने जांच हेतु संग्रहित किए गए। निरीक्षण के दौरान 100 किलो से अधिक अनुचित खाद्य सामग्री जप्त कर नष्ट की गई।
कुल मिलाकर 252 प्रतिष्ठानों का निरीक्षण किया गया और दोषी पाए गए कारोबारियों पर आवश्यक विधिक कार्रवाई की गई। इसके साथ ही करीब 180 खाद्य कारोबारकर्ताओं को खाद्य सुरक्षा संबंधी प्रशिक्षण भी दिया गया। नवरात्रि पर्व को देखते हुए व्यापारियों व व्यापार संगठनों के बीच जन-जागरूकता गोष्ठियां आयोजित की गईं, जिनमें सुरक्षित और गुणवत्तापरक खाद्य सामग्री उपलब्ध कराने पर विशेष बल दिया गया।
गढ़वाल मंडल में निरीक्षण और सैंपलिंग
गढ़वाल मण्डल में 27 सितम्बर को बड़े पैमाने पर निरीक्षण और सैंपलिंग की गई। जनपद उत्तरकाशी में 08 निरीक्षण किए गए और 02 नमूने लिए गए। टिहरी में 02 निरीक्षण, रुद्रप्रयाग में 03 निरीक्षण तथा चमोली में 04 निरीक्षण किए गए।
इसी प्रकार देहरादून जिले में 03 निरीक्षण किए गए और 02 नमूने एकत्र किए गए। हरिद्वार जिले में 02 निरीक्षण हुए। पौड़ी जिले में 03 निरीक्षण किए गए। श्रीनगर में सबसे बड़ी कार्रवाई हुई, जहाँ 18 निरीक्षण किए गए और 11 नमूने संकलित किए गए। इसके अतिरिक्त नैनीताल (गढ़वाल सीमा क्षेत्र) में भी 02 नमूने लिए गए।
हरिद्वार (भगवानपुर) में नकली पनीर पर छापा
त्योहारी मौके पर मिलावट की शिकायतों के चलते 27 सितम्बर की शाम लगभग 7 बजे भगवानपुर ब्लॉक के नन्हेड़ा अनंतपुर गांव में खाद्य सुरक्षा एवं पुलिस विभाग की संयुक्त टीम ने छापामार कार्रवाई की।
इस कार्रवाई का नेतृत्व उपायुक्त गढ़वाल मंडल राजेन्द्र सिंह रावत ने किया। उनके साथ अभिहित अधिकारी हरिद्वार महिमानंद जोशी, वरिष्ठ खाद्य सुरक्षा अधिकारी योगेन्द्र पांडे (रुड़की), खाद्य सुरक्षा अधिकारी पवन कुमार (भगवानपुर) तथा पुलिस बल मौजूद रहा।
मौके पर खाद्य कारोबारी आलिम ने स्वयं कबूल किया कि वह मिल्क पाउडर और वनस्पति तेल से पनीर बनाता है और उसे जमाने के लिए एसिड का प्रयोग करता है, जो मानव स्वास्थ्य के लिए अत्यंत हानिकारक है। संभावित मिलावट की आशंका पर दो पनीर एवं एक दूध का नमूना लैब जांच हेतु भेजा गया और प्रतिष्ठान पर आगे की विधिक कार्यवाही जारी है।
