उत्तराखंड में पर्वतीय पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए केंद्र सरकार ने 284 करोड़ रुपये की धनराशि आवंटित की है। केंद्रीय पर्यटन मंत्री ने संसद में यह जानकारी दी। इस वित्तीय सहायता से राज्य में पर्यटन बुनियादी ढांचे को मजबूत किया जाएगा, नए पर्यटन स्थल विकसित किए जाएंगे, रोजगार के अवसर बढ़ेंगे और राज्य की अर्थव्यवस्था को मजबूती मिलेगी।
उत्तराखंड में पर्वतीय पर्यटन विकास के लिए केंद्र सरकार निरंतर सहयोग कर रही है। केंद्र सरकार वर्ष 2015-16 से अब तक विभिन्न पर्यटन योजनाओं के लिए 284 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की राशि जारी कर चुकी है।
लोकसभा के शीतकालीन सत्र में बुधवार को नैनीताल सांसद अजय भट्ट ने पर्वतीय पर्यटन सर्किट के विकास के लिए जारी योजनाओं के संबंध में अतारांकित प्रश्न पूछा। इसके जवाब में केंद्रीय पर्यटन मंत्री गजेंद्र शेखावत ने भट्ट को अवगत कराया कि पर्वतीय पर्यटन सर्किट के विकास के लिए उत्तराखंड सहित हिमालयी राज्यों में व्यापक निवेश किया गया है। केंद्रीय पर्यटन मंत्री शेखावत के अनुसार स्वदेश दर्शन, स्वदेश दर्शन 2.0, प्रसाद, सीबीडीडी और एसएएससीआई योजनाओं के तहत अब तक देश के हिमालयी क्षेत्रों में 1726.74 करोड़ रुपये आवंटित किए गए, जिनमें से 1200.46 करोड़ रुपये जारी हो चुके हैं।
उत्तराखंड में बीते वर्षों में कई महत्वपूर्ण परियोजनाओं को मंजूरी मिली है। वर्ष 2015-16 में केदारनाथ के एकीकृत विकास हेतु 34.77 करोड़ रुपये जारी किए गए हैं, जबकि बदरीनाथ धाम में तीर्थ यात्रा सुविधा विस्तार के लिए 2018-19 में 56.15 करोड़ स्वीकृत हुए, जिनमें से 38.38 करोड़ जारी किए जा चुके हैं।
गंगोत्री-यमुनोत्री धाम के लिए 54.36 करोड़ में से 10.5 करोड़, तथा 2024-25 में ऋषिकेश राफ्टिंग बेस स्टेशन विकास के लिए 100 करोड़ में से 66 करोड़ जारी किए गए हैं। इसी अवधि में चंपावत टी-गार्डन अनुभव, पिथौरागढ़ के गूंजी ग्रामीण पर्यटन क्लस्टर, माणा और जादूंग ग्राम वाइब्रेंट विलेज परियोजनाओं को भी धनराशि दी गई है। कुमाऊं क्षेत्र में विरासत परिपथ विकास तथा टिहरी झील क्षेत्र में साहसिक पर्यटन गतिविधियों के लिए भी केंद्र ने वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान की है।
