काबीना  मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने मंगलवार को श्री गुरु राम राय पब्लिक स्कूल कालीदास रोड़ देहरादून के वार्षिकोत्सव समारोह में बतौर मुख्य अतिथि कार्यक्रम में प्रतिभाग किया। कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ मंत्री जोशी ने दीप प्रज्वलित कर किया । वार्षिकोत्सव में स्कूली बच्चों ने कई सांस्कृतिक रंगारंग प्रस्तुतियां दी। इस अवसर पर मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने स्कूल में विभिन्न प्रतियोगिता में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वाले छात्रों को प्रमाण पत्र एवं मोमेंटो देकर पुरुस्कार वितरित किया ।
इस अवसर पर मंत्री जोशी ने संबोधन के दौरान सबसे पहले  महंत इंद्रेश चरण दास महाराज जी को नमन करते हुए उन्होंने कहा  महंत इंद्रेश चरण दास महाराज जी ने आज के समाज में अंग्रेजी माध्यम के विद्यालयों को अधिक महत्व दिये जाने के कारण गरीब वर्ग के बच्चों के लिए श्री गुरुराम राय एजुकेशन मिशन की स्थापना वर्ष 1952 में की थी। उनका फोकस गरीब बच्चों को अच्छी शिक्षा मिल सके, हमेशा इस तरफ रहा। वह असाधारण व्यक्तित्व के धनी थे। वह एक स्वतन्तत्रता सेनानी भी थे।  महन्त इन्द्रेश चरण दास जी द्वारा उत्तराखण्ड सहित हरियाणा, पंजाब और हिमाचल प्रदेश में 122 शैक्षणिक संस्थानों की एक श्रृंखला बनायी है ।
महन्त इन्द्रेश चरण दास जी का सम्पूर्ण जीवन समाज के कल्याण एवं उत्थान में समर्पित तथा अत्यन्त संघर्षपूर्ण रहा। मंत्री जोशी ने कहा  गुरुराम राय एजुकेशन मिशन विद्यालयों के साथ-साथ विश्वविद्यालयों सहित अस्पतालों एवं मेडिकल कॉलेजों का बखूबी संचालन कर रहा है। इसके अलावा मंत्री जोशी ने बच्चों को कुछ टिप्स भी दिए मंत्री जोशी ने कहा प्रत्येक विद्यार्थी के जीवन में कुछ प्रमुख सामाजिक तत्वों का होना आवश्यक है। अंग्रेजी के 5D-डी (जिसमें Determination, Dedication, Discipline, Diversity and Direction है) का होना अति आवश्यक है।
मंत्री जोशी ने कहा प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में देश की शिक्षा नीति में अहम बदलाव हुआ है। शिक्षा मंत्रालय ने राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति 2020 लागू की है।राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति 2020 का मुख्य लाभ देश के लगभग 02 करोड़ बच्चों को फिर से शिक्षा की मुख्य धारा में लाना है। उन्होंने कहा मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी के नेतृत्व में प्रदेश सरकार ने उत्तराखण्ड के उच्च शिक्षा प्रणाली में राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति 2020 को लागू किया है। इस अवसर पर मंत्री जोशी ने सभी छात्र छात्राओं के उज्वल भविष्य की कामना भी की।
इस अवसर पर प्रधानाचार्या वीना रावत, विनय मोहन थपलियाल, वाइस प्रिंसिपल रघुवीर सिंह अधिकारी, एच.एस.शर्मा, भावना बिष्ट, मोहन बहुगुणा, प्रदीप रावत सहित अध्यापकगण अभिभावक आदि उपस्थित रहे।
