मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने सोमवार को स्पोर्ट्स स्टेडियम टनकपुर में एम.बी एजुकेशनल सोसायटी द्वारा आयोजित द हिमालयन कप फुटबॉल टूर्नामेंट 2022 कार्यक्रम में प्रतिभाग किया। इस दौरान उन्होंने फुटबाल मैच का शुभारंभ किया।
मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि हिमालयन राज्य एवं अर्धसैनिक बलों के मध्य आयोजित इस फुटबॉल प्रतियोगिता से निश्चित रूप से यहां के युवा प्रतिभाओं को आगे बढ़ने का अवसर प्राप्त होगा। इस प्रकार के आयोजनों से क्षेत्र में जहां एक और खेल गतिविधियों को प्रोत्साहन मिलता है, वहीं पर्यटन को भी बढ़ावा मिलता है। खेल मन में एक सकारात्मक भाव पैदा करता है। उन्होंने कहा प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा नई खेल नीति बनाई गई है, जिसके अंतर्गत प्रतिभावान खिलाड़ियों को आगे बढ़ने का अवसर प्राप्त होगा। सभी को समान रूप से खेल नीति का लाभ प्राप्त होगा। खेल नीति के अंतर्गत युवा खिलाड़ियों की खेल प्रतिभाओं को बढ़ावा देने के लिए विभिन्न खेल स्टेडियमों का निर्माण भी किया जा रहा है। प्रत्येक ग्राम सभा में ओपन जिम भी खोले जाने का निर्णय लिया गया है। महिलाओं को भी खेल के क्षेत्र में आगे बढ़ाए जाने हेतु उधम सिंह नगर में महिला स्पोर्ट कॉलेज का निर्माण किया जा रहा है।
मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि देहरादून में स्पोर्ट्स यूनिवर्सिटी बनाई जा रही है। राज्य सरकार विकल्प रहित संकल्प के ध्येय वाक्य से आगे बढ़ रही है। जनपद स्तरीय अधिकारीयों की जिम्मेदारी तय की गई है की प्रत्येक स्तर पर जन समस्याओं का निराकरण हो। उन्होंने कहा सरलीकरण समाधान और निस्तारण के मंत्र पर सरकार काम कर रही है। उत्तराखण्ड को 2025 तक देश का श्रेष्ठ राज्य बनाने की दिशा में हर क्षेत्र में तेजी से कार्य हो, इस दिशा में सरकार आगे बढ़ रही है।
आयोजन समिति के अध्यक्ष व पूर्व राष्ट्रीय फुटबॉलर सुभाष अरोड़ा व देवेंद्र सिंह बिष्ट ने बताया कि हिमलायी राज्यों में पर्यावरण संरक्षण व फुटबॉल को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से पहली बार इस टूर्नामेंट की शुरूआत की जा रही है। टूर्नामेंट का आयोजन दो चरणों में होगा। नॉकआउट राउंड के क्वार्टर फाइनल, सेमीफाइनल और फाइनल मैच देहरादून के पवेलियन ग्राउंड में आयोजित होंगे। पहली बार किसी फुटबॉल टूर्नामेंट की लाइव स्ट्रीमिंग दूरदर्शन, सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म फेसबुक व यूट्यूब पर दिखाने के साथ ही रेड एफएम व ओहो रेडियो पर सुनी जा सकती है।
उल्लेखनीय है कि फुटबॉल टूर्नामेंट राज्य के तीन जनपदों में आयोजित किया जा रहा है, जिसमे चंपावत जिला भी शामिल है, टूर्नामेंट में उत्तराखंड, हिमाचल प्रदेश, सिक्किम एचएम स्पोर्टिंग क्लब, अपुयेमी एफसी नागालैंड, असम राइफल्स, गढ़वाल हीरोज, जम्मू-कश्मीर, खाड़ हिमाचल प्रदेश, गढ़वाल राइफल्स, सीआरपीएफ, कंचनजंगा एफसी, लद्दाख की टीम प्रतिभाग कर रही है। विजेता टीम को पांच लाख रुपये व ट्रॉफी, उपविजेता-तीन लाख रुपये व ट्रॉफी के साथ ही अन्य टीमों को भी पुरस्कृत किया जाएगा।
इस दौरान नगर पालिका अध्यक्ष टनकपुर विपिन कुमार, नगर पालिका अध्यक्ष पिथौरागढ़ राजेंद्र रावत, भाजपा जिलाध्यक्ष दीप पाठक, भाजपा प्रदेश मंत्री हेमा जोशी, पुलिस अधीक्षक देवेंद्र पींचा, संयुक्त निदेशक खेल धर्मेंद्र भट्ट, एवं अन्य लोग मौजूद रहे।
