देहरादून : सेवानिवृत्त ले0कर्नल बीएम थापा के नेतृत्व में ‘‘देहरादून भूतपूर्व सैनिक संगठन’’ के विभिन्न पदाधिकारियों द्वारा कैबिनेट मंत्री गणेश जोशी के कैम्प कार्यालय में उनसे मुलाकात की तथा दो सूत्रीय मांग पत्र सौंपा।
अपने मांग पत्र में भूतपूर्व सैनिक अधिकारियों तथा पदाधिकारियों द्वारा मांग की गई है कि एक्साईज ड्यूटी बढ़ाए जाने के कारण सीएसडी केंटीन में भूतपूर्व सैनिकों को मिलने वाली मदिरा के दामों में 37 प्रतिशत से अधिक की बढ़ोत्तरी की गई है। जिससे कारण भूतपूर्व सैनिकों पर अतिरिक्त आर्थिक बोझ पढ़ रहा है। इसके अतिरिक्त भूतपूर्व सैनिकों के प्रतिनिधियों ने यह भी मांग की, कि भूतपूर्व सैनिक अधिकारियों, जेसीओ, वीर नारियों तथा छावनी परिषद में निवासरत अन्य भूतपूर्व सैनिकों को गृहकर में छूट से संबंधित शासनादेश जल्द से जल्द जारी करवाया जाए। पूर्व में स्वयं मुख्यमंत्री इस संबंध में घोषणा कर चुके हैं। परंतु अफसरशाही की असंवेदनशीलता के कारण इस आशय का शासनादेश जारी नहीं हो पाया है। कैबिनेट मंत्री ने भूतपूर्व सैनिक पदाधिकारियों को आश्वस्त किया कि दोनों ही मांगों पर त्वरित कार्यवाही करवाने का प्रयास किया जाएगा।
