मसूरी : उत्तराखंड के गांधी इंद्रमणी बडोनी की जयंती पर इंद्रमाणी बडोनी चौक पर उनकी प्रतिमा पर माल्यापर्ण व पुष्पांजलि अर्पित कर उनको श्रद्धांजलि दी गई। इस मौके पर उत्तराखंड राज्य निर्माण में उनके योगदान को याद किया गया।
इंद्रमणी बडोनी चौक पर आयोजित कार्यक्रम में बतौर मुख्य अतिथि पूर्व विधायक व उत्तराखंड क्रिक्रेट एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष जोत सिंह गुनसोला ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड राज्य निर्माण के पुरोधा इंद्रमणी बडोनी ने राज्य निर्माण के लिए जो संघर्ष किया उसे भुलाया नहीं जा सकता, जबकि राज्य निर्माण से एक वर्ष पूर्व वह संसार से चले गये। उन्होंने कहा कि बडोनी ने जिस कल्पना के साथ राज्य की मांग की थी उसे पूरा करना सभी का दायित्व है। इस मौके पर उन्होंने मांग की कि मसूरी से उनका बहुत गहरा संबंध रहा है इसलिए उनके जीवन व संघर्ष को याद रखने के लिए संग्रहालय बनाया जाना चाहिए। इस मौके पर पालिकाध्यक्ष अनुज गुप्ता ने कहा कि उन्होंने इंद्रमणी बडोनी की प्रतिमा लगवाई थी लेकिन उसे उचित स्थान न मिलने पर इंद्रमणी बडोनी चौक का सौदर्यीकरण करवाया गया व वहा पर शीघ्र आदमकद प्रतिमा लगायी जायेगी। उन्होंने यह भी कहाकि आज उनके सपनों का उत्तराखंड बनाने के लिए उनके विचारों व पद चिन्हों पर चलना होगा। इस मौके पर इंद्रमणी बडोनी मंच के सचिव प्रदीप भंडारी ने कहा कि इंदमणी बडोनी उत्तराखंड के गांधी थे जिन्होंने राज्य निर्माण के साथ ही उत्तराखंड की सांस्कृतिक विरासत को देश के कोने कोने तक पहुंचाने, बीर भड़ माधो सिंह भंडारी के कार्यो को जन जन तक पहुचाने का कार्य किया। इस मौके पर क्षेत्रीय सभासद दर्शन रावत ने कहा कि उनके वार्ड में बडोनी चौक व उनकी प्रतिमा के होने से उन्हें गर्व है। कहा कि इन दिनों सौदर्यीकरण कार्य के चलते उनकी प्रतिमा हो हटा दिया गया था जिस पर तत्काल उनकी प्रतिमा को उनकी जयंती पर स्थापित किया गया ताकि उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि दी जा सके। उन्होंने विश्वास दिलाया कि शीघ्र ही उनकी भव्य प्रतिमा इस स्थान पर लगा दी जायेगी। इस मौके पर इद्रमणी बडोनी स्मृति मंच के अध्यक्ष पूरण जुयाल ने कहा कि इंद्रमणी बडोनी के बारे में युवा पीढ़ी को जानने के लिए उनके जीवन परिचय को स्कूली पाठयक्रम मे स्थान दिया जाना चाहिए। कार्यक्रम को कमल भंडारी, रमेश राव, डा. सोनिया आनंद रावत, धन प्रकाश  अ्रग्रवाल, मेघ सिंह कंडारी, अनीता सक्सेना आदि ने भी संबोधित किया व उनके जीवन पर प्रकाश डाला। इस मौके पर पालिका सभासद मनीषा खरोला, प्रताप पंवार, कुलदीप रौंछेला, त्रिलोक चौहान, विरेंद्र कैंतुरा, नागेंद्र उनियाल,श्रीपति कंडारी,नरेंद्रपाल सिंह चढढा,तनमीत खालसा, संजय टम्टा,  कीर्ति कंडारी, सहित बड़ी संख्या में लोग मौजूद रहे।
