प्रधानमंत्री  नरेन्द्र मोदी ने वर्चुअल माध्यम से अमृत भारत रेलवे स्टेशन योजना के अंतर्गत देश भर के 508 रेलवे स्टेशनों के पुनर्विकास की आधारशिला रखी। इन रेलवे स्टेशनों की पुनर्विकास की आधारशिला रखे जाने के अवसर पर हर्रावाला रेलवे स्टेशन में राज्यपाल लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल गुरमीत सिंह (से नि) और मुख्यमंत्री  पुष्कर सिंह धामी भी उपस्थित रहे।

अमृत भारत रेलवे स्टेशन योजना के तहत 24470 करोड़ रूपये से अधिक की लागत से पुनर्विकसित किए जाने वाले ये 508 रेलवे स्टेशन 27 राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में हैं। इन रेलवे स्टेशनों में उत्तराखण्ड के तीन रेलवे स्टेशन हर्रावाला, रुड़की और लालकुआं शामिल हैं, जिनका पुनर्विकास किया जाएगा।

अमृत भारत रेलवे स्टेशनों में यात्रियों की आधुनिक सुविधाओं के साथ साथ विश्वस्तरीय सुविधाओं से लैस किया जाएगा। स्टेशन बिल्डिंग के डिजाइन में स्थानीय संस्कृति, विरासत और वास्तुकला की झलक दिखाई देगी। इन स्टेशनों में यात्रियों के लिए अत्याधुनिक सुविधाएं होंगी।

मुख्यमंत्री  पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने उत्तराखंड के तीन रेलवे स्टेशनों के पुनर्विकास शिलान्यास के लिए प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी का आभार व्यक्त किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि बीते नौ वर्षों में प्रधानमंत्री जी के नेतृत्व में रेलवे के क्षेत्र में बहुत तेज गति से कार्य हुए हैं। हम भारतीय रेल के स्वर्णिम युग की ओर बढ़ रहे हैं। भारतीय रेलवे को नए भारत की आकांक्षाओं तथा आत्मनिर्भर भारत की अपेक्षाओं को पूरा करने के लिए तैयार किया जा रहा है ।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि आज जहां एक ओर ब्रॉड गेज रेल लाइनों से मानव रहित रेल क्रॉसिंग को ख़त्म करके भारतीय रेलवे को पहले से कही अधिक सुरक्षित बनाया गया है, वहीं दूसरी ओर आज भारतीय रेलवे की रफ्तार भी पहले से कही अधिक बढ़ चुकी है, आत्मनिर्भरता और आधुनिकता के प्रतीक चिन्ह के रूप में वंदे भारत जैसी मेड इन इंडिया ट्रेनें रेल नेटवर्क का हिस्सा बन रही हैं। वर्तमान में देश के अछूते हिस्सों को रेल नेटवर्क से जोड़ने का काम भी तेजी से चल रहा है। रेल लाइनों के विद्युतिकरण का काम भी पहली बार इतनी तेजी के साथ किया जा रहा है। 2014 तक 1350 किलोमीटर रेलवे लाइन का विद्युतिकरण हुआ था पर 2014 से अब तक यह आंकड़ा 6,565 किलोमीटर तक पहुंच गया है। 2014 में देश में 1561 किलोमीटर के रेलवे ट्रेक बिछाए गए थे, जो 2023 में 5243 किलोमीटर हो चुके हैं।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री  नरेन्द्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में उत्तराखंड में पहाड़ तक ट्रेन पहुंचाने का सपना सच होने जा रहा है। ऋषिकेश-कर्णप्रयाग रेललाइन का कार्य तेजी से हो रहा है। अमृत भारत स्टेशन योजना रेलवे स्टेशनों के पुनर्विकास और नए बदलते भारत का प्रतिबिंब है। आज प्रधानमंत्री जी द्वारा किये गए 508 रेलवे स्टेशनों के पुनर्विकास शिलान्यास ने एक और नया कीर्तिमान बनाया है। आज जिस प्रकार से ना केवल रेलवे बल्कि अन्य क्षेत्रों में भी इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर को सशक्त बनाया जा रहा है, वो अभूतपूर्व है। आज रेल आधुनिक हो रही हैं, सुविधाओं को विश्वस्तरीय किया जा रहा है, रेलवे स्टेशन मॉडर्न विजन के साथ विकसित किए जा रहे हैं। जिन स्टेशनों के पुनर्विकास की नींव आज रखी गई है उन्हें स्थानीय संस्कृति, विरासत और वास्तुकला के आधार पर विकसित किया जाएगा जो अपने आप में एक सुखद अनुभव होगा।
