कृषि मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने गुरुवार को देहरादून स्थित पवेलियन ग्राउंड में कृषि विभाग द्वारा अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय मिलेट वर्ष के उपलक्ष में आगामी 13 से 16 मई तक देहरादून में आयोजित होने वाले श्री अन्न महोत्सव के प्रचार-प्रसार एवं जागरूकता हेतु स्कूली छात्र छात्राओं की रैली को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया। कार्यक्रम में देहरादून के करीब 21 विद्यालयों के 2000 से अधिक छात्र-छात्राओं ने रैली में प्रतिभाग किया। यह जागरूकता रैली पवेलियन ग्राउंड से प्रारंभ होकर घंटा घर होते हुए वापस पवेलियन ग्राउंड में रैली का समापन किया जाएगा। इस अवसर पर मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने छात्र छात्राओं को मिलेट्स के लाभ के बारे में भी जानकारी दी।
गौरतलब है कि आगामी 13 से 16 मई 2023 को सर्वे ऑफ इंडिया हाथी बड़कला देहरादून में उत्तराखण्ड श्री अन्न महोत्सव 2023 भव्य आयोजित किया रहा है। जिसमे केंद्रीय कृषि मंत्री नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर, प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी, केंद्रीय कृषि राज्य मंत्री कैलाश चौधरी सहित अन्य राज्यों के कृषि मंत्री होटल व्यवसाय, कृषि वैज्ञानिक, किसान, उद्योग जगत सहित कई लोग उपस्थित रहेंगे। मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि उनके अथक प्रयासों से संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने वर्ष 2023 को अंतरराष्ट्रीय मिलेट वर्ष घोषित किया है। उन्होंने कहा जब मोदी जी ने यह प्रस्ताव रखा तो 72 देशों ने इसका समर्थन किया। उत्तराखंड में मिलेट वर्ष के तहत राज्य सरकार द्वारा मिलेट के प्रोत्साहन और बढ़ावा देने के लिए अनेक कदम उठाएं जा रहे है।
मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि प्रदेश में मिलेट के उत्पादन और उसके विपणन के लिए इस वित्तीय वर्ष में मिलेट्स के लिए 73 करोड की व्यवस्था की गई है। उन्होंने कहा उत्तराखंड में मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी के नेतृत्व में मिलेट के प्रोत्साहन और उसके उत्पादन को लेकर प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा निरंतर कार्य किया जा रहा है। मंत्री ने कहा मिलेट स्वास्थ्य के दृष्टि से बेहद लाभदायक है।उन्होंने कहा सरकार का मुख्य उद्देश्य यही है कि मिलेट्स का किसान अधिक से अधिक उत्पादन करें। जिससे निश्चित ही किसानों की आय दोगुनी करने में मददगार साबित होगा। उन्होंने कहा मिलेट के प्रचार प्रसार के लिए मिलेट्स भोज के कार्यक्रमो का आयोजन किया जा रहे है।
आज इस स्कूली बच्चों द्वारा यह जागरूकता रैली द्वारा मिलेट के गुणों के प्रचार प्रसार और उनके फायदों के बारे में लोगो को जागरूक करने का कार्य करेगी। मंत्री ने कह 13 से 16 मई तक आयोजित होने वाले श्री अन्न महोत्सव के माध्यम से राज्य में श्री अन्न के अधिक उत्पादन और उसके विपणन को लेकर चर्चा की जाएगी और उन अनुभावों को लेकर प्रदेश सरकार उसको धरातल पर उतराने का प्रयास किया जाएगा।
इस अवसर पर मेयर सुनील उनियाल गामा, कृषि निदेशक गौरी शंकर, अपर निदेशक केसी पाठक, संयुक्त कृषि निदेशक दिनेश कुमार सहित अन्य लोग उपस्थित रहे।
