सीएम पुष्कर सिंह धामी पिथौरगाढ़ जिले के मिलम पहुंचे और उन्होंने चीन सीमा पर देश की सुरक्षा में तैनात आईटीबीपी के जवानों का मनोबल बढ़ाया। कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने आदि कैलाश, गुंजी, ज्योलिंगकांग क्षेत्रों का दौरा किया। वह पहले ऐसे प्रधानमंत्री हैं जो जिले की अंतरराष्ट्रीय सीमा तक पहुंचे हैं। उनके यहां पहुंचने से सैनिकों का हौसला बढ़ा है और वे सीमा पर दुश्मनों के दांत खट्टे कर रहे हैं।
इस दौरान उन्होंने आईटीबीपी के जवानों के साथ जलपान भी किया। इसके बाद सीएम जिला मुख्यालय पहुंचे और देवसिंह मैदान में आयोजित सहकारिता मेले का शुभारंभ किया। उन्होंने कहा कि सीमांत जिले में पर्यटन की अपार संभावनाएं हैं। जिस तरह प्रधानमंत्री के आने के बाद आदि कैलाश क्षेत्र को पर्यटन के क्षेत्र के विश्व भर में प्रसिद्धि मिली है। इसी तरह मिलम को भी टूरिस्ट डेस्टिनेशन बनाया जाएगा। इससे जिले का पर्यटन कारोबार नई उड़ान भरेगा और रोजगार के अवसर भी पैदा होंगे।
