मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने आज भारत मंडपम, नई दिल्ली में केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग परियोजनाओं की समीक्षा बैठक में प्रतिभाग किया। इस दौरान उन्होंने प्रदेश में सड़क कनेक्टिविटी के क्षेत्र में चल रहे अभूतपूर्व कार्यों का विस्तृत वीडियो प्रेजेंटेशन भी प्रस्तुत किया।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी के नेतृत्व में उत्तराखण्ड में सड़क अवसंरचना को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता दी गई है। उन्होंने बताया कि चारधाम यात्रा को सुगम, सुलभ एवं सुरक्षित बनाने हेतु ₹12,769 करोड़ की लागत से चारधाम महामार्ग परियोजना के अंतर्गत प्रमुख राष्ट्रीय राजमार्गों का उन्नयन किया जा रहा है।
उन्होंने कहा कि केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी जी की प्रतिबद्धता से प्रदेश के कठिन भूभाग में भी परियोजनाएं सफलतापूर्वक पूरी की गई हैं। वर्तमान में राज्य में 3,723 किमी का राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग नेटवर्क विकसित हो चुका है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि NHAI द्वारा डिजाइन 597 किमी मार्गों में से 336 किमी से अधिक पूर्ण हो चुके हैं। हरिद्वार, ऋषिकेश, देहरादून, रुद्रपुर, काशीपुर, हल्द्वानी और काठगोदाम जैसे प्रमुख केंद्र अब चौड़े और सुरक्षित सड़कों से जुड़े हैं। दिल्ली–देहरादून एक्सप्रेस वे सहित देहरादून व हरिद्वार बाईपास जैसी परियोजनाएं भी यातायात को तेज, सुरक्षित और सुगम गति देने जा रही हैं।
