मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने सचिवालय में वन विभाग की समीक्षा बैठक के दौरान अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिये कि मानव वन्यजीव संघर्ष को खत्म करने के लिए वन विभाग के साथ ही शासन-प्रशासन के स्तर पर भी प्रभावी प्रयास किए जाएं।
यह सुनिश्चित किया जाए कि मानव-वन्यजीव संघर्ष की घटना की सूचना मिलने के 30 मिनट के अन्दर वन विभाग की टीम मौके पर पहुंच जाए। इसके लिए संबंधित डीएफओ और रेंजर की जिम्मेदारी तय की जाए। प्रभावितों को आर्थिक सहायता तत्काल उपलब्ध कराई जाए।
मुख्यमंत्री ने पौड़ी में मानव-वन्यजीव संघर्ष की बढ़ती घटनाओं के दृष्टिगत पौड़ी के डीएफओ को तत्काल प्रभाव से वहां से हटाने के निर्देश दिये हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री ने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिये कि जिन क्षेत्रों में जंगली जानवरों का अधिक भय है, ऐसे क्षेत्रों में स्कूली बच्चों को स्कूल तक छोड़ने और घर तक लाने के लिए वन विभाग और जिला प्रशासन द्वारा एस्कार्ट की व्यवस्था की जाए।
मानव-वन्यजीव संघर्ष में किसी परिवार से कमाने वाले व्यक्ति की मृत्यु होने पर उनके परिवार को आर्थिक परेशानियों का सामना न करना, ऐसी स्थिति से निपटने के लिए वन विभाग प्रभावित परिवार की आजीविका को सहायता देने के लिए दो सप्ताह के अंदर नीति बनाकर प्रस्तुत करे।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि जनपदों में मानव-वन्यजीव संघर्ष को कम करने के लिए जिन भी उपकरणों की आवश्यकता है, उन्हें यथाशीघ्र उपलब्ध कराया जाए।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि हमारी पहली जिम्मेदारी वन्यजीवों से लोगों के जीवन को बचाना है, इसके लिए नई तकनीक के इस्तेमाल पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जाए। जंगली जानवर आबादी क्षेत्रों में न आये, इसके लिए स्थाई समाधान पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जाए।
वन्यजीवों की दृष्टि से संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों में कैमरों के माध्यम से निरंतर नजर बनाये रखें। वन कर्मी लगातार निगरानी रखें, साथ ही ग्रामीणों के साथ अपना संवाद मजबूत रखें।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि बस्तियों के आस पास जंगली झाडियों को अभियान चलाकर साफ किया जाए, साथ ही बच्चों और महिलाओं को विशेष तौर पर आस पास वन्य जीवों की मौजूदगी को लेकर जागरुक किया जाए।
