मुख्यमंत्री ने ग्वालदम-नंदकेसरी-थराली-देवाल-मुन्दोली-वाण मोटर मार्ग के रखरखाव एवं अनुरक्षण का कार्य भविष्य में भी उत्तराखंड लोक निर्माण विभाग के पास ही बनाए रखने का अनुरोध किया। उन्होंने कहा कि यह मार्ग विश्वप्रसिद्ध नंदा देवी राजजात यात्रा का प्रमुख रूट है, जिसकी अगली यात्रा वर्ष 2026 में प्रस्तावित है।
प्रदेश की धार्मिक, सांस्कृतिक आस्था से जुड़े इस महत्वपूर्ण आयोजन की सुचारू व्यवस्था के लिए मार्ग का रखरखाव स्थानीय स्तर पर लोक निर्माण विभाग की ओर से किया जाना आवश्यक है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि स्थानीय परिस्थितियों, समन्वय और त्वरित कार्य निष्पादन के दृष्टिगत लोक निर्माण विभाग ही इस मार्ग के रख-रखाव के लिए सर्वोत्तम विभाग है तथा इससे आगामी यात्रा सहित स्थानीय आवागमन को भी बड़ी सुविधा मिलेगी। रक्षा मंत्री ने मुख्यमंत्री को सभी बिंदुओं पर सकारात्मक रूप से विचार करने का आश्वासन दिया।
