उत्तराखंड राज्य स्थापना के रजत जयंती वर्ष के अवसर पर आज प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी की उपस्थिति में एयरपोर्ट्स अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया (AAI) और उत्तराखंड सरकार के बीच पिथौरागढ़ स्थित नैनी सैनी हवाई अड्डे के अधिग्रहण से संबंधित एक ऐतिहासिक समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए।
यह समझौता उत्तराखंड के दुर्गम पर्वतीय अंचल को देश के अन्य हिस्सों से सुगम, सुरक्षित और टिकाऊ हवाई संपर्क प्रदान करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण मील का पत्थर माना जा रहा है।
नैनी सैनी हवाई अड्डा लगभग 70 एकड़ क्षेत्रफल में फैला हुआ है। वर्तमान में इसका टर्मिनल भवन व्यस्त समय में 40 यात्रियों को सेवा देने में सक्षम है, जबकि एप्रन क्षेत्र में दो कोड-2B श्रेणी के विमानों को एक साथ खड़ा करने की सुविधा उपलब्ध है।
इस अधिग्रहण से हवाई अड्डे के मौजूदा बुनियादी ढांचे के उन्नयन, परिचालन मानकों के सुव्यवस्थित प्रबंधन, और क्षेत्रीय कनेक्टिविटी में व्यापक सुधार की संभावनाएं खुलेंगी।
हवाई अड्डे का विकास न केवल परिवहन के क्षेत्र में क्रांतिकारी बदलाव लाएगा, बल्कि उत्तराखंड की स्थानीय कला, संस्कृति, पर्यटन, व्यापार, तीर्थाटन, शिक्षा और स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को भी नई गति प्रदान करेगा। इससे स्थानीय युवाओं के लिए रोजगार के अवसर बढ़ेंगे और प्रदेश की आर्थिक संरचना को सुदृढ़ता मिलेगी।
यह पहल प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी की “सुगम्य और टिकाऊ विमानन अवसंरचना” की दृष्टि को साकार करने की दिशा में एक सशक्त कदम है। साथ ही, इस रणनीतिक हिमालयी क्षेत्र में आपदा प्रबंधन और आपदा-प्रतिक्रिया क्षमताओं को भी सुदृढ़ बनाएगी।
नैनी सैनी हवाई अड्डे का यह अधिग्रहण उत्तराखंड को विकास की नई ऊंचाइयों की ओर अग्रसर करने में एक मील का पत्थर सिद्ध होगा।
