दिवाली की रात देहरादून शहर में आग लगने की 12 अलग-अलग घटनाओं ने हड़कंप मचा दिया। करीब साढ़े छह घंटे तक दमकल विभाग की गाड़ियां लगातार इन घटनाओं पर पहुंच कर आग बुझाने में लगी रहीं। इस दौरान शहर में अफरातफरी का माहौल बना रहा और प्रशासन ने नागरिकों से सतर्क रहने की अपील की।
स्थानीय प्रशासन के अनुसार, दिवाली की रात पटाखों के अधिक प्रयोग और लापरवाही के कारण कई जगह आग लग गई। शहर के कई इलाकों में हुई इन आग की घटनाओं में नुकसान की जानकारी जुटाई जा रही है। दमकल विभाग की टीमों ने समय पर पहुंचकर आग को काबू में किया, जिससे बड़ी तबाही टली।
दमकल विभाग के अधिकारियों ने बताया कि सबसे ज्यादा आग की घटनाएं शाम 8 बजे से रात 2 बजे के बीच हुईं। उन्होंने लोगों से आग से बचाव के लिए सावधानी बरतने और फायर सेफ्टी नियमों का पालन करने की अपील की है।
पुलिस और प्रशासनिक अधिकारी भी प्रभावित इलाकों में पहुंचे और राहत कार्यों का जायजा लिया। अधिकारियों ने कहा कि दिवाली के दौरान ऐसी घटनाओं को रोकने के लिए जागरूकता अभियान और सुरक्षा उपायों को और मजबूत किया जाएगा।
नगर निगम और दमकल विभाग ने नागरिकों से अपील की है कि वे पटाखों का इस्तेमाल जिम्मेदारी से करें और आग लगने की किसी भी घटना की सूचना तुरंत संबंधित अधिकारियों को दें।
