उत्तराखंड में रेलवे विकास को नई रफ्तार: मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने की केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव से महत्वपूर्ण बैठक
नई दिल्ली, 8 अक्टूबर 2025 — उत्तराखंड की रेलवे अधोसंरचना को सुदृढ़ बनाने के लिए मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने आज नई दिल्ली में केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री श्री अश्विनी वैष्णव से भेंट की। इस अहम बैठक में राज्य की रेलवे परियोजनाओं को गति देने के साथ-साथ कई नए प्रस्तावों पर चर्चा हुई।

- हरिद्वार और देहरादून स्टेशन बनेंगे ‘आदर्श रेलवे स्टेशन’
मुख्यमंत्री ने देहरादून और हरिद्वार रेलवे स्टेशनों के विस्तार और आधुनिकीकरण को लेकर विशेष आग्रह किया। उन्होंने दोनों स्टेशनों को ‘आदर्श रेलवे स्टेशन’ के रूप में विकसित किए जाने और हरिद्वार-देहरादून रेल लाइन के दोहरीकरण का कार्य पूर्ण रूप से केंद्र सरकार के व्यय पर किए जाने की मांग की।
रेल मंत्री ने इस पर सहमति जताई और कहा कि दोहरीकरण कार्य के पूर्ण व्ययभार पर परीक्षण कर उचित निर्णय लिया जाएगा।
- टनकपुर-बागेश्वर रेल परियोजना में नया प्रस्ताव
मुख्यमंत्री ने टनकपुर-बागेश्वर रेल परियोजना के संरेखण में अल्मोड़ा और सोमेश्वर क्षेत्रों को शामिल करने की मांग रखी, साथ ही टनल व सड़क कनेक्टिविटी का प्रावधान करने की भी बात कही।
👉 रेल मंत्री ने इस पर विचार करने का आश्वासन दिया।
- ऋषिकेश पुराना स्टेशन होगा बंद, भूमि राज्य को मिलेगी
मुख्यमंत्री ने ऋषिकेश के पुराने रेलवे स्टेशन को पूर्णतः बंद करने और उसकी भूमि राज्य सरकार को हस्तांतरित करने का अनुरोध किया। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि इसके बाद योग नगरी स्टेशन के संचालन के लिए अतिरिक्त भूमि की आवश्यकता पड़ी तो राज्य सरकार सहयोग करेगी।
👉 रेल मंत्री ने इस प्रस्ताव पर सैद्धांतिक सहमति दी।
- देहरादून-टनकपुर ट्रेन अब सप्ताह में तीन दिन
राज्य के यात्रियों की सुविधा को देखते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने देहरादून से टनकपुर के बीच चलने वाली वीकली ट्रेन को सप्ताह में तीन दिन चलाने का प्रस्ताव रखा।
