मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने ‘आत्मनिर्भर टिहरी की संकल्पना’ विषय पर प्रतिभाशाली स्कूली छात्र-छात्राओं एवं बाल विधायकों के साथ संवाद किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने इन मेधावी बच्चों का उत्साहवर्द्धन करते हुए कहा कि हमेशा एक प्रण लेकर आगे बढ़ें, कि जिस भी क्षेत्र में कार्य करें, लीडर की भूमिका में रहकर कार्य करें। जिस समय जो कार्य कर रहे हों, उस समय पूरा ध्यान उस कार्य पर होना चाहिए। समय के महत्व को समझना जरूरी है। जो समय निकल गया वह कभी वापस नहीं आयेगा, इसलिए समय का पूरा सदुपयोग करें। मुख्यमंत्री ने स्कूली बच्चों से कहा कि परीक्षा के समय तनाव मुक्त होकर पढ़ाई करें। कोई भी कार्य बोझ समझकर नहीं करना चाहिए। कार्य के प्रति मन में उत्साह हो तो कोई भी मुकाम हांसिल किया जा सकता है। बच्चों ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी के परीक्षा पे चर्चा कार्यक्रम का उन्होंने लाइव प्रसारण देखा। इस कार्यक्रम के माध्यम से उन्हें अनेक नई चीजें सीखने को मिली।
कक्षा 07 की इप्सिता चमियाल ने कहा कि यह गौरव की बात है कि हमें आत्मनिर्भर टिहरी के लिए मुख्यमंत्री जी से संवाद करने का मौका मिला। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी द्वारा आत्मनिर्भर भारत की दिशा में देश को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए अनेक कार्य किये जा रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि टिहरी जनपद को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के लिए युवाओं को स्वरोजगार से जोड़ना होगा। स्वयं सहायता समूहों को और मजबूत करना होगा। टिहरी बांध में पर्यटन आधारित अनेक गतिविधियों को और बढ़ावा देने होगा। इसको अन्तरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर प्रसिद्धि दिलानी होगी। न्याय पंचायत स्तर तक स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं को बेहतर बनाने के लिए कार्य करने होंगे।
स्वास्थ्य मंत्री बाल सरकार सूरज रतूड़ी ने कहा कि टिहरी जनपद को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के लिए रोजगार, स्वास्थ्य एवं शिक्षा पर विशेष ध्यान देना होगा। होम स्टे एवं स्थानीय उत्पादों को बढ़ावा देना होगा। जनपद में उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों को बढ़ावा देना जरूरी है। 12 वीं छात्रा शनानाज ने कहा कि जनपद में मोटे अनाजों पर आधारित उत्पादों को बढ़ावा देना होगा। जैविक खेती को और अधिक बढ़ावा देना होगा। पर्यटन और तीर्थाटन को बढ़ावा देने के साथ ही मंदिरों में स्थानीय उत्पादों पर आधारित प्रसाद को बढ़ावा देना होगा, जिससे स्थानीय स्तर पर लोगों की आजीविका के संसाधन बढ़ सके।
