    भानु चंन्दोला द्वारा बताया गया कि प्रथम विश्व युद्ध में शहीद उनके दादा शीश राम को ब्रिटिश सरकार द्वारा शहीद स्मारक पट्टिका (मैडल) प्रदान किये गये थे। चन्दोला द्वारा यह मैडल सैनिक कल्याण मंत्री को दिखाया गया और प्रथम विश्व युद्ध में शहीद सैनिक के परिवारजनों को राजकीय सम्मान, लाभ एवं सहयोग प्रदान किये जाने हेतु ज्ञापन सैनिक कल्याण मंत्री को सौंपा।
    सैनिक कल्याण मंत्री ने कहा कि केन्द्र एवं राज्य दोंनों ही सरकारें सैन्य हितों के लिए कार्य कर रही हैं। उन्होनें आवश्वस्त किया कि वह इस प्रकरण को पत्र के माध्यम से देश के रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह को अवगत कराऐंगे। इस बाबत मंत्री ने राजनाथ सिंह को पत्र भी लिखा है और प्रथम विश्व युद्ध में शहीद सैनिकों के परिवारों को अनुमन्य सुविधाऐं एवं आर्थिक सहयोग प्रदान करने का अनुरोध किया है।
