मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने शनिवार को टनकपुर, स्थित बी.आर.ओ के हीरक परियोजना के मुख्यालय में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में प्रतिभाग किया। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने परियोजना के अंतर्गत कार्य कर रहे वीर जवानों एवं अधिकारियों के साथ मुलाकात कर उनका कुशल क्षेम जाना।
मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि बीआरओ राष्ट्रीय निर्माण के कार्य में मिशन कर्म योगी की तरह अपना अहम योगदान देता रहा है। कठिन परिस्थितियों में बनने वाले मार्गो एवं सड़कों के निर्माण में बीआरओ के कर्मचारी हमेशा आगे रहते है। उन्होंने कहा मिलम, जोहर, दारमा एवं व्यास घाटी में चल रहे सड़क निर्माण कार्य प्रदेश के साथ देश के लिए भी बहुत महत्वपूर्ण हैं। इन सड़कों का निर्माण पूर्ण होने से वहां रह रहे लोगों के जीवन शैली में बदलाव आ रहा है। राज्य सरकार ने संकल्प लिया है कि कुमाऊं क्षेत्र में पड़ने वाले सभी प्रमुख एवं पौराणिक मंदिरों का जीर्णोद्धार किया जायेगा, जिसके लिए मानसखण्ड मंदिर माला मिशन के अंतर्गत कुमायूं के प्राचीन मंदिरों को भव्य बनाने की योजना है, इन मंदिरों को जोड़ने वाले मार्गों का विस्तार किया जाएगा, साथ ही उनका चौड़ीकरण किया जायेगा।
मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री ने केदारनाथ धाम की पावन भूमि से कहा कि 21वीं सदी का तीसरा दशक उत्तराखंड का दशक होगा। जिसके परिणाम अब दिखने लगे हैं, इस बार चार धाम यात्रा में अभी तक 40 लाख से अधिक रजिस्टर्ड श्रद्धालुओं ने यात्रा की है। मां गंगा एवं बाबा केदार के आशीर्वाद से यात्रा सुगम एवं सुरक्षित चल रही है। कावड़ यात्रा के दौरान करीब 4 करोड कावड़िए शिव भक्त उत्तराखंड आए। पहली बार राज्य सरकार ने कावड़ यात्रा में बजट का प्रावधान किया। उन्होंने कहा सरकार पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए गढ़वाल एवं कुमाऊं मंडल को जोड़ने का कार्य कर रही है जिसके अंतर्गत चमोली से सीमांत क्षेत्र मुनस्यारी को सीधे सड़क मार्ग से जोड़ने का कार्य चल रहा है।
मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड राज्य में सड़क से संबंधित जितनी भी योजनाएं चल रही हैं वह पूरी गुणवत्ता एवं तय समय पर पूरी की जाएंगी। उन्होंने कहा मुझे बीआरओ के कर्मचारियों पर पूर्ण विश्वास है कि आप लोग परिश्रम, मेहनत से और इमानदारी से काम कर रहे हैं। बीआरओ द्वारा अन्य लोगों को भी रोजगार देने का काम किया जा रहा है जिसमें वह किसी भी परियोजना में 90% से भी ज्यादा लोग स्थानीय स्तर के लोग काम कर रहे हैं। इस दौरान बीआरओ के मुख्य अभियंता विमल गोस्वामी द्वारा हीरक परियोजना के अंतर्गत उच्च हिमालई क्षेत्रों में किए जा रहे सड़क निर्माण कार्यों के बारे में भी अवगत करवाया गया।
