हल्द्वानी- केंद्रीय रक्षा एवं पर्यटन राज्य मंत्री अजय भट्ट ने बताया कि हल्द्वानी काठगोदाम नगर निगम क्षेत्र की पेयजल और सिंचाई की व्यवस्था भी जमरानी बांध से होगी। रक्षा राज्य मंत्री भट्ट ने कहा कि उन्होंने अधिकारियों को निर्देशित किया है कि हल्द्वानी शहर मे सिंचाई और पेयजल के पूर्ति का प्रस्ताव प्रथक से केंद्र सरकार को भेजा जाएगा जिससे कि जमरानी परियोजना से ही हल्द्वानी शहर की पेयजल किल्लत दूर हो जाएगी।

केंद्रीय रक्षा राज्य मंत्री अजय भट्ट ने जानकारी देते हुए कहा कि 18 अक्टूबर को बहुउद्देशीय परियोजना जमरानी के संबंध में होने वाली बैठक में इसके वित्त पोषण के लेकर महत्वपूर्ण नतीजा आएगा। जिसके बाद यह परियोजना पर धरातल में पंख लगने शुरु होंगे। मंत्री भट्ट ने कहा कि जमरानी बांध परियोजना में कार्यरत अधिकारियों को उन्होंने निर्देशित किया है कि जल्द हल्द्वानी काठगोदाम नगर निगम क्षेत्र में पेयजल और सिंचाई की व्यवस्था के प्रस्ताव को भी जमरानी बांध में शामिल करने की कार्रवाई तेजी से की जाए।

केंद्रीय रक्षा राज्य मंत्री अजय भट्ट ने कहा कि वर्तमान में 117 एमएलडी पानी जमरानी बांध से मिलना प्रस्तावित है और भविष्य की पेयजल की आवश्यकताओं को देखते हुए इसे बढ़ाया भी जाएगा। इसके अलावा उन्होंने कहा कि 35 करोड़ की लागत से हल्द्वानी शहर के लिए एसटीपी प्लांट का अगले महीने लोकार्पण हो जाएगा। केंद्रीय रक्षा राज्य मंत्री भट्ट ने कहा कि केंद्र व राज्य सरकार लगातार क्षेत्र के विकास के लिए संकल्प बंद है और अगले कुछ महीने में इसके सुखद परिणाम जनता के बीच धरातल पर दिखाई देंगे उन्होंने कहा कि केंद्र सरकार की विभिन्न योजनाओं का लाभ स्थानीय जनता को तत्काल हो सके इसके लिए वह निरंतर प्रयासरत हैं साथ ही दिशा की बैठक में लिए गए फैसलों के परिणाम जल्द धरातल पर उतरते दिखाई देंगे।
