उत्तरकाशी – विगत कुछ समय से आमजन द्वारा पुलिस अधीक्षक उत्तरकाशी को असमाजिक लोगों के द्वारा जुआ खेलने की सूचना प्राप्त हो रही थी, जिस पर अर्पण यदुवंशी पुलिस अधीक्षक उत्तरकाशी द्वारा जनपद के दोनों सर्किल के क्षेत्राधिकारियों एवं सभी कोतवाली थाना/चौकी प्रभारियों को इस ओर सतर्क दृष्टि रखते हुये कार्रवाई करने के निर्देश दिये गये। जिसके क्रम में आज दिनांक 30.09.2022 को क्षेत्राधिकारी बडकोट सुरेन्द्र सिंह भण्डारी के पर्यवेक्षण एवं प्रभारी निरीक्षक बडकोट गजेन्द्र दत्त बहुगुणा के नेतृत्व मे टीम गठित कर बडकोट पुलिस द्वारा जानकीचट्टी, फूलचट्टी व आस-पास के क्षेत्रों में चैकिंग अभियान चलाया गया। चैकिंग के दौरान जानकीचट्टी से 07 व्यक्तियों को अवैध जुआ खेलते हुये नगदी के साथ गिरफ्तार गया।
गिरफ्तारी/बरामदगी के आधार पर उक्त व्यक्तियों के विरुद्ध थाना बडकोट में जुआ अधिनियम की सुसंगत धारा में अभियोग पंजीकृत किया गया। अग्रिम विधिक कार्यवाही प्रचलित है।
