मसूरी – शहर की माल रोड पर दशकों से चल रहे उत्तर रेलवे आउट एजेंसी को बंद करने का निर्णय भारत सरकार रेल मंत्रालय के रेलवे बोर्ड ने लिया है जिसका स्थानीय स्तर पर विरोध शुरू हो गया है। स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि इस एजेंसी से स्थानीय लोगों सहित पर्यटकों को रेलवे टिकट की सुविधा मिलती थी, जिसेे बंद करना जनहित में नहीं है।
भारत सरकार रेलवे मंत्रालय के रेलवे बोर्ड ने एक पत्र जारी कर महा प्रबंधक उत्तर रेलवे दिल्ली को जारी किया है जिसमें लिखा गया है कि उत्तर रेलवे के मसूरी स्थित आउट एजेंसी को बंद करने को कहा गया है। यह पत्र रेलवे बोर्ड के उप निदेशक बीबी मनजेरा की ओर से जारी किया गया है। इसका पता लगते ही रेलवे एजेंसी के बंद करने का विरोध शुरू हो गया है। इस संबंध में भाजपा मसूरी मंडल के अध्यक्ष मोहन पेटवाल ने कहा कि मसूरी स्थित रेलवे आउट एजेंसी के बंद करने का निर्णय जनहित में नहीं है इसका विरोध किया जायेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि यह एजेंसी 1942 ब्रिटिश काल से चली आ रही है। जब आने जाने के संसाधन कम होते थे व रेलवे से ही यात्रा की जाती थी तब से यह सुविधा मसूरी वासियों व पर्यटकों को दी जा रही है लेकिन अब इसके बंद करने का कोई औचित्य नहीं है। उन्होंने कहाकि कोरोना काल को छोड़ कर यह एजेंसी कभी घाटे में नहीं रही और कोरोना के बाद से यह लगातार लाभ वाली एजेंसी रही है ऐसे में इसे बंद किए जाने का कोई औचित्य नहीं है। उन्होंने इस संबंध में केद्रीय रेलवे मंत्री सहित प्रदेश के कबीना मंत्री गणेश जोशी व डीआरएम मुरादाबाद मंडल को भी ज्ञापन प्रेषित किया है। व्यापार संघ मसूरी के अध्यक्ष रजत अग्रवाल ने कहा कि मसूरी पर्यटक स्थल है और यहां लाखों पर्यटक आते हैं जिन्हें पूरे भारत वर्ष में कहीं भी जाने के लिए रेलवे टिकट की सुविधा उपलब्ध रहती है ऐसे में अगर इसे बंद कर दिया जाय तो इसका पर्यटन पर भी बुरा प्रभाव पडे़गा। उन्होंने कहा कि अगर इस एजेंसी को बंद किया गया तो व्यापार संघ आंदोलन करने को बाध्य होगा। स्थानीय निवासी मोहसिन अहमद व दीपक सक्सेना का कहना है कि पर्यटन के साथ स्थानीय निवासियों को भी इसके बंद होने से बड़ा नुकसान होगा। क्यो कि मसूरी से स्थानीय नागरिक भी देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों में जाते हैं जिन्हें एजेंसी से रेलवे का टिकट प्राप्त हो जाता है, अगर इसे बंद किया गया तो मसूरी वालों को देहरादून जा कर टिकट बुक करवाना होगा जिससे समय व धन की हानि होगी। रेलवे एजेंसी के इंचार्ज पंकज वर्मा से जब इस संबंध में पूछा गया तो उन्होने कहा कि रेलवे बोर्ड से एजेंसी को बंद करने का आदेश आया है जिस पर एक दो दिन बाद एजेंसी बंद करनी पड़ेगी।
