देहरादून – मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने सर्वे चौक स्थित आई.आर.डी.टी. सभागार में भारत रत्न पं. गोविन्द बल्लभ पंत जी के 135 वें जन्मदिन समारोह कार्यक्रम में प्रतिभाग किया। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने पं. गोविन्द बल्लभ पंत जी के चित्र पर श्रद्धासुमन अर्पित कर उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि दी।
मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि पं. गोविन्द बल्लभ पंत जी महान स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी, समाजसेवी एवं कुशल प्रशासक थे। उन्होंने देश को नई दिशा देने के साथ ही कुली बेगार प्रथा तथा जमींदारी उन्मूलन के लिए निर्णायक संघर्ष कर समाज में व्याप्त बुराइयों को मिटाने में अहम भूमिका निभाई। देश की आजादी से पूर्व एवं देश की आजादी के बाद भी उन्होंने देश सेवा के लिए जो कार्य किये, वे सभी कार्य हमें हमेशा आगे बढ़ने के लिए प्रेरणा देते रहेंगे। उन्होंने अपना पूरा जीवन समाज सेवा के लिए समर्पित किया। हिन्दी को राजभाषा का दर्जा दिलाने में उन्होंने महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि पं. गोविन्द बल्लभ पंत जी का पहाड़ के प्रति विशेष लगाव था। जीवन में तमाम समस्याओं के बावजूद भी वे अपने कर्तव्य पथ से कभी पीछे नहीं हटे। उत्तर प्रदेश के प्रथम मुख्यमंत्री एवं भारत के गृह मंत्री के महत्वपूर्ण दायित्व उनके पास रहे। उन्होंने कहा कि देवभूमि उत्तराखण्ड के ऐसे महान सपूत से प्रेरणा लेकर हमें आगे बढ़ना होगा। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड युवा राज्य है। 2025 में हम उत्तराखण्ड राज्य की स्थापना की रजत जयंती मनायेंगे। तब तक उत्तराखण्ड हर क्षेत्र में देश के अग्रणी राज्यों की श्रेणी में हो, इसके लिए सबको मिलकर प्रयास करने होंगे। हमें विकल्प रहित संकल्प के साथ आगे बढ़ना होगा।
पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री एवं हरिद्वार सांसद डॉ. रमेश पोखरियाल निशंक ने कहा कि पं. गोविंद बल्लभ पंत जी ने देश की आजादी के लिए पूरा जीवन खपाया। उन्होंने पहाड़ के विकास एवं संस्कृति के संरक्षण का कार्य किया। उन्होंने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड देवभमि के साथ वीरभूमि भी है। पं.गोविंद बल्लभ पंत जैसे क्रांतिकारी इसी देवभूमि में पैदा हुए। डॉ. निशंक ने कहा कि भारत रत्न पं.गोविंद बल्लभ पंत जी ने जो रास्ता दिखाया, उससे प्रेरणा लेकर हमें आगे बढ़ना होगा। वे देवभूमि उत्तराखण्ड के गौरव एवं सम्मान हैं। उन्होंने कहा आज देश ज्ञान-विज्ञान अनुसंधान के क्षेत्र में तेजी से आगे बढ़ रहा है।
इस अवसर पर विधायक खजान दास, मैती आन्दोलन के प्रणेता पद्मश्री कल्याण सिंह रावत, श्रीमती दीप्ति रावत भारद्वाज, राकेश डोभाल एवं अन्य गणमान्य उपस्थित थे।
