देहरादून – मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने बिधौली, देहरादून स्थित यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ पैट्रोलियम एण्ड एनर्जी स्टडीज (यूपीईएस) में यूपीईएस द्वारा शुरू की गई आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्ग के मेधावी छात्रों के लिए ‘ज्योति छात्रवृति’ एवं खेलों को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से प्रतिभाशाली खिलाड़ियों के लिए ‘विजय’ छात्रवृति का शुभारम्भ किया। यूपीईएस द्वारा उत्तराखण्ड की लोक संस्कृति एवं परम्पराओं के संवर्द्धन, संरक्षण और अध्ययन हेतु ‘सेंटर फॉर कल्चर एंड आर्ट एवं भारतीय पुरातन ज्ञान को नई पीढ़ी से जोड़ने के उद्देश्य से ‘सेंटर फॉर इंडियन नॉलेज’ की स्थापना की गई है, जिनका शुभारम्भ बुधवार को मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी की उपस्थित में किया गया।
मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि किसी भी क्षेत्र में बड़े संस्थानों एवं विश्वविद्यालयों के आने से केवल उनमें पढ़ने वाले छात्रों का जीवन ही नहीं संवरता, बल्कि आसपास के क्षेत्र के लोगों के जीवन में भी अनेक बदलाव आते हैं। स्थानीय स्तर पर लोगों के आजीविका के संसाधन भी बढ़ते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड के सीमान्त क्षेत्रों एवं ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में यूपीईएस द्वारा क्या योगदान दिया जा सकता है, इस दिशा में विश्वविद्यालय को ध्यान देना होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि यूपीईएस द्वारा होनहार गरीबों एवं प्रतिभाशाली खिलाड़ियों के लिए छात्रवृति की शुरूआत की गई है वह सराहनीय प्रयास है।
मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में देश हर क्षेत्र में तेजी से आगे बढ़ रहा है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के सपनों को पूरा करने के लिए सबको कर्मयोगी बनकर कार्य करने होगा। आज दुनिया में भारत का मान, सम्मान एवं स्वाभिमान बढ़ा है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में भारत में कोविड वैक्सीनेशन का महाअभियान चलाया गया। भारत में 192 करोड़ से अधिक कोविड टीकाकरण हुए, जबकि भारत ने 20 करोड़ वैक्सीन अन्य देशों को भी दी। शिक्षा में क्रान्तिकारी परिवर्तन लाने के देश में राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति-2020 लाई गई है। उत्तराखण्ड राज्य में बाल वाटिका से इसका शुभारंभ हो चुका है। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री ने सभी प्रदेशवासियों को गुरू पूर्णिमा की शुभकामनाएं भी दी।
इस अवसर पर विधायक सहदेव सिंह पुण्डीर, यूपीईएस के कुलपति डॉ. सुनील राय, प्रति कुलपति डॉ. राम शर्मा, कुलसचिव मनीष मदान, डॉ. वी.के. सिंह, डॉ. गुरविन्दर विर्क, डॉ. नलिन मेहता एवं अन्य गणमान्य मौजूद रहे।
